Prospect Park Alliance’s Design and Construction (D+C) Architecture team seeks an Architect II to lead design through all project phases, coordinate with NYC agencies, and mentor staff. You will shape capital projects for historic restorations, building renovations, and new structures within Prospect Park, ensuring alignment with preservation standards and park goals.

Qualifications

• Degree in Architecture; licensure in NY or pursuing licensure in NY.
• 6–8 years of relevant architectural experience on large projects.
• Experience with design through construction documents and approvals.
• Familiarity with NYC permitting, public-sector delivery, and historic preservation.
• LEED accreditation is a plus; valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and mentor staff.

Responsabilités

• Lead capital planning, scoping, budgets, schedules, and risk management for projects.
• Direct architectural design across all phases and prepare drawings and specs.
• Coordinate reviews with NYC Parks, LPC, PDC, DOB, DEP and others.
• Manage external consultants and review deliverables and invoices.
• Provide construction administration support and site coordination.
• Contribute to long-term park planning and design standards.
