Job summary

Matrix Service is hiring a Construction Manager IV for the National Construction Group in Houston. The role provides full field execution oversight, guiding safety, budgeting, scheduling, and staffing to deliver EPC industrial construction projects on site.

The manager will travel to project sites as required, oversee subcontractors, and collaborate with Operations and Project Managers to ensure adherence to plans and procedures while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction or 10 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
• 5+ years supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of corporate and industry practices and their impact on project activities.
• Experience in oil field design, construction, finance, and project management.
• Demonstrated ability to apply innovative management techniques to maximize performance.
• Strong working knowledge of estimating, scheduling, and cost controls.

Responsibilities

• Assist Operations and Project Managers in pre-job planning of budgets, schedules, safety plans, quality control, equipment, staffing, and subcontractor selections.
• Maintain safety accountability and promote safety programs on the project.
• Coordinate work activities performed by subcontractors and key vendors.
• Attend bid meetings and review RFPs, specifications, drawings, and data to support estimating and proposal development.
• Provide oversight to payroll, accounts receivable/payable personnel.
• Develop construction procedures and train foremen to improve efficiency.
• Conduct field walk-downs and inspections; enforce project plans and policies.
• Lead daily coordination meetings and support project management in solving issues.
