Job summary

MBP LTD is seeking leaders in the design and construction industry to deliver complex facilities in the Carlisle/Harrisburg area. The role requires 10+ years of experience in manufacturing, office, and laboratory facilities and expertise in contract administration, QA/QC, and construction management.

Responsibilities include owner representation across pre-construction to closeout, coordinating with contractors, designers, and authorities, and leading risk mitigation and progress meetings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 15 years of related experience or a Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or related field with 10 years of related experience.
• OSHA 30-hour certification required within 3 months of hire.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and contract specifications.
• Knowledge of codes, materials, methods, and tools used in construction, repair or renovation work.
• Experience in construction contract administration, change management, QA/QC, and project controls.
• Ability to work independently and manage all aspects of a project, including client interface and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-construction, construction, and building acceptance phase Owner Representation for large-scale projects.
• Manage quality, cost, schedule, and contractor coordination for the client/owner.
• Collaborate with the project team to identify risks and develop mitigation plans.
• Review schedules to ensure feasibility and track progress against the schedule.
• Lead or participate in progress meetings and document minutes.
• Oversee QA/QC inspections and ensure compliance with contract requirements.
• Review change orders for entitlement and price, and support negotiations.
• Coordinate reviews/tests with commissioning and authorities having jurisdiction.
• Coordinate with third-party stakeholders for specialized systems and equipment.
• Manage closeout deliverables including training, manuals, warranties, and stock materials.
