Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Construction Management Senior Manager to provide strategic leadership and oversight of complex construction programs in the New York Metro region. This role directs all phases of project execution from pre-construction through closeout, coordinating with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to meet safety, budget, and schedule targets.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of related experience, with a track record in transportation/public infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field; 10 years of related experience
• Proven experience leading large-scale, complex transportation programs
• Experience working with metropolitan transit authorities, state DOTs, and other public-sector transportation agencies

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage large, complex construction management projects with strategic direction
• Serve as liaison between clients, contractors, consultants, and stakeholders
• Ensure activities align with designs, contract documents, specifications, safety, budgets, and schedules
• Oversee full project lifecycle from pre-construction to closeout
• Set objectives, execution strategies, staffing plans, schedules, and financial controls
• Provide leadership to project teams and ensure resource allocation and accountability
• Maintain fiscal responsibility including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow
• Monitor progress, address risks, and implement corrective actions
• Oversee procurement, subcontractors, changes, claims, and contract compliance
• Lead project reviews and provide executive updates on status and financials
• Support business development and client relationship efforts
