Job summary

Mark Thomas is hiring a Construction Management Area Manager for our CM group in California. The role leads CM teams, delivers projects, and grows the business across multiple locations including Oakland and San Jose. Strong leadership and client-facing skills are essential.

Requires 12-15+ years CM experience, a Civil/Construction Engineering degree, and a California PE license or eligible licensure within one year. Hybrid/remote options are available with travel expectations.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering or Construction Engineering required.
• California PE license required; or PE in another state with CA licensure within one year.
• Proficiency in MS PowerPoint and MS Project.
• Strong knowledge of contracts, agreements, and administration.

Responsibilities

• Generates sufficient business to grow the CM group.
• Oversee construction management to complete projects and satisfy clients.
• Manage quality, budget, and schedule for projects.
• Engage in proposals to expand backlog and win work.
• Lead cohesive area CM teams and participate in planning.
