Job summary

Santander is seeking a Sr. Specialist in Construction Loan Servicing in the United States. The role focuses on booking, funding, payments, and maintenance for construction loans and related credits, with analytical work on credit agreements and reconciliations.

Responsibilities include managing disbursements during construction, coordinating with Relationship Managers, and ensuring documentation accuracy and regulatory compliance while supporting system enhancements and vendor coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military service, or education.
• 3+ years of working knowledge in the company’s documentation and banking operations.
• Excellent communication, good organizational skills, and attention to details.
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and various bank systems.
• Ability to adapt quickly and be a team player.
• Working knowledge in Commercial Banking and lending policies.

Responsibilities

• Assist with closing construction transactions and facilitate disbursements through life of loan.
• Coordinate hands-on management of the loan with Relationship Manager, including site inspections and drawing requests.
• Review third party reports and other documentation to facilitate advances and releases; remedy deficiencies with Relationship Managers.
• Participate in non-routine activities including mergers and technology system enhancements.
• Assist vendors, engineers/inspectors, attorneys, Relationship Managers, and Borrowers to obtain necessary documentation to resolve project issues.
• Ensure compliance with all regulations, policies, and procedures.
