Job summary

M&T Bank in York, PA seeks an experienced professional to independently administer a complex CRE and multi-family construction loan portfolio from origination through payoff or rollover.

The role involves reviewing loan documents, coordinating with closing attorneys, borrowers, investors and inspectors; ensuring equity funding; tracking budgets and covenants; maintaining lien priority; and ensuring compliance with risk and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years’ proven commercial real estate and/or multi-family closing, asset management, loan administration or underwriting experience, or in lieu of degree, a combined minimum of 7 years’ higher education and/or work experience including CRE experience.
• Experience with bank policies, procedures and banking regulations.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills; strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Review loan documents to ensure consistency with loan approval and construction requirements.
• Coordinate with closing attorney, borrower, investors and participants for pre- and post-closing construction loan requirements.
• Ensure up-front equity requirements have been met prior to funding.
• Provide analysis and maintenance of loan budgets and reallocations to align with costs and completion dates.
• Prepare ticklers and track covenant compliance; report data to senior management.
• Coordinate inspections with inspectors and borrowers to ensure budget targets are met.
• Address title-related issues to maintain Bank lien priority with title companies and customers.
• Identify risks from title updates and inspections and escalate to management.
• Participate in department-wide projects and initiatives as needed.
• Maintain loan budgets and project performance in the system.
