Qualifications

  • 3+ years of commercial litigation experience; 5+ years preferred.
  • Active New York and New Jersey bar admissions required.
  • Meaningful construction litigation experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong motion practice and legal writing skills.
  • Demonstrated deposition experience.
  • Ability to independently manage litigation matters and deadlines.
  • Strong analytical, communication, advocacy, and client-management skills.
  • Connecticut bar admission is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage sophisticated construction litigation matters from inception through resolution.
  • Represent contractors, developers, subcontractors, design professionals, and sureties in complex disputes.
  • Handle payment disputes, mechanic's lien foreclosures, bond claims, delay and disruption claims, defective construction matters, and contract enforcement cases.
  • Draft, brief, and argue complex motions in state and federal courts.
  • Take and defend depositions involving key witnesses, industry professionals, and opposing parties.
  • Develop case strategy and independently manage assigned matters.
  • Work directly with clients and construction industry decision-makers.
  • Practice across New York and New Jersey, with opportunities for broader regional exposure.
  • Participate in arbitration proceedings and other dispute resolution forums.
  • Contribute to client relationships, business development, and the continued growth of the practice.
