Jobtailor is seeking a claims professional in California to manage Specialty Liability bodily injury and property damage claims with a focus on complex cases and litigation strategy.

Responsibilities include investigation, negotiation, case analysis, and coordinating with experts, counsel, and insureds to achieve effective resolutions while maintaining file quality and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 3 years business experience.
• 2 years of liability claim handling or comparable litigation experience.
• Advanced knowledge in claim and litigation.
• Thorough understanding of commercial lines products and ISO forms.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, evaluate, reserve, negotiate, and resolve assigned Specialty Liability bodily injury and property damage claims.
• Handle assigned severe claims directly.
• Provide quality customer service and ensure file quality, timely coverage analysis, and communication with insureds.
• Consult with the Manager on use of Claim Coverage Counsel as needed.
• Investigate claims through contact with policyholders, accounts, claimants, law enforcement, witnesses, agents, medical providers, and technical experts.
• Dispostions include depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials as needed.
