Job summary

HNTB Corporation in Houston, TX is seeking a Construction Inspector III to provide daily inspection of complex activities on the TxDOT SH 6 Widening Project and future projects. You will monitor contractor compliance with plans, specifications, and contract provisions, and maintain daily logs with Field Engineer coordination.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED with 6 years of construction experience and familiarity with TxDOT standards, along with on-site testing and calculation

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED with 6 years of construction related experience.
• Familiarity with TxDOT plans and specifications preferred.
• Nicet certifications or equivalent are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Inspects, observes, documents, and verifies work in progress to ensure compliance with plans and specs.
• Maintains inspector's daily report; coordinates with Field Engineer.
• Performs on-site material testing and as-constructed sketches.
• Night and weekend shifts may be required.
