Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of highway and bridge construction inspection experience.
• Knowledge of TxDOT Standard Specifications, construction standards, and documentation requirements.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for technical/non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as in a team.
• Proficiency with technical writing, office software, spreadsheets, and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Conduct construction inspection and observation to verify compliance with plans, specifications and contract documents.
• Prepare daily reports and documentation of contractor work, materials testing and traffic control.
• Assist with coordinating materials sampling, testing, and monthly estimates; document pay quantities.
• Coordinate with contractor and project manager to identify and resolve construction issues; ensure safety compliance.
• Maintain positive public relations and adhere to safety policies.
