Candidates must have 7+ years in highway/bridge inspection, strong TxDOT knowledge, and excellent written and verbal communication to coordinate with contractors and project teams on safety and quality.

Qualifications

Minimum of 7 years of highway and bridge construction inspection experience.
Knowledge of TxDOT Standard Specifications, construction standards, and documentation requirements.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for technical/non-technical audiences.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as in a team.
Proficiency with technical writing, office software, spreadsheets, and data analysis.

Responsibilities

Conduct construction inspection and observation to verify compliance with plans, specifications and contract documents.
Prepare daily reports and documentation of contractor work, materials testing and traffic control.
Assist with coordinating materials sampling, testing, and monthly estimates; document pay quantities.
Coordinate with contractor and project manager to identify and resolve construction issues; ensure safety compliance.
Maintain positive public relations and adhere to safety policies.
