Qualifications

• Eight years' experience in construction inspection, four preferred in roadway/bridge work.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Certifications such as NCDOT Concrete Field Technician, ACI Field Level I, and Erosion & Sediment Control preferred; can be obtained.

Responsibilities

• Review reports, directing duties, and training project inspectors
• Travel to project sites for inspection and testing duties
• Document and inspect construction activities per procedures and specs
• Read and ensure compliance with plans, specs, contracts
• Calculate quantities for concrete, asphalt, steel, earthwork, drainage, and traffic control
• Operate company vehicle and testing equipment
• Coordinate progress with engineers, contractors, utilities, officials
• Document field changes and as-built plans
• Assist project engineer with progress payments and diaries
• Work in office or outdoors in varying weather
