Job summary

Mott MacDonald in the Charlotte area is seeking a Senior Construction Inspector for highway and bridge inspection projects. You will review reports, supervise inspectors, and coordinate with engineers, contractors, and officials in a hybrid in-office/field role.

Qualifications

• Eight years of experience in construction inspection, including roadway/bridge inspection.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and ability to obtain listed certifications.
• Valid driver's license and ability to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing reports, directing duties, and training project inspectors.
• Traveling to project sites to conduct inspection and testing duties.
• Reading, interpreting, and ensuring compliance with construction plans, specs, and contracts.
• Documenting field changes, costs, and as-built plans; supporting progress payments.
• Coordinating construction progress with engineers, contractors, utilities, and officials.
