Job summary

Mott MacDonald seeks a Senior Construction Inspector for highway and bridge inspection projects in the Western North Carolina area (Asheville, Waynesville, Hendersonville, Sylva). You will review reports, supervise inspectors, and coordinate with engineers, contractors, and officials on-site and in the office.

• Eight years of construction inspection experience, four preferred in roadway/bridge work.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent with related inspection experience.
• Valid driver's license and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Review reports, direct duties, and train project inspectors.
• Travel to project sites to conduct inspection and testing duties.
• Document construction activities per plans, specs, and contracts.
• Coordinate progress with engineers, contractors, and officials.
• Assist project engineer with progress payments and test reports.
• Work in office or outdoor environments as required.
