Job summary

Southeastern Engineering, Inc. is seeking an experienced Inspector Aide level technician to support senior inspectors and engineers on roadway and bridge construction projects.

The role involves interpreting plans, verifying material testing, and ensuring adherence to project specifications and safety standards. Responsibilities include communicating with staff and clients, producing detailed field notes, and potentially guiding subordinates or contractors.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent; two years of construction inspection experience.
• GDOT certifications (1A/10-Hour OSHA/WECS) preferred or obtainable within 6 months on GDOT projects.
• Strong math skills; MS Word and Excel advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and measure materials to ensure compliance with plans, specs and provisions.
• Review plans to verify work is performed safely and according to contract standards.
• Document daily field notes; read and interpret plans, schedules, specs and shop drawings.
• Coordinate with client, staff, and contractors to meet schedule, scope and budget.
