Job summary

Atlas is seeking a Senior Construction Inspector to monitor and document construction activities on a major rail transit expansion project in the New York City metropolitan area.

You will work with the MTA Construction & Development team on a $1.8 billion design-build project, ensuring compliance with plans, specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements, and communicating progress through daily reports and coordination with contractors.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Construction, Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Technology/Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in construction inspection or construction management.
• NICET certification preferred, or minimum degree requirements as listed above.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and document daily construction activities and project progress.
• Review drawings, specifications, contracts, and other project documents to ensure compliance.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and project stakeholders.
• Track quantities, production rates, and completed work for payment and reporting purposes.
• Prepare daily reports and progress updates.
• Support quality assurance and quality control activities.
• Monitor safety compliance and report unsafe conditions or practices.
• Verify that construction activities conform to plans, specifications, permits, and regulatory requirements.
