Job summary

MBP seeks a Senior Construction Inspector to guide quality on transportation and infrastructure projects. You will act as a field representative, performing QA observations and advising on discrepancies while communicating with contractors, clients, and team members.

You will manage recordkeeping, plans checks, and ensuring compliance to project specs. The role includes mentoring trainees and overseeing inspections and reporting while supporting budgets and schedules.

Qualifications

• Requires HS diploma or GED with substantial engineering/architecture or skilled construction trades experience.
• OSHA 10/30 certification within 3 months of hire.
• Basic math knowledge (algebra, geometry, trigonometry) as applied to field measurements.
• Proficiency with MS Office, email, and internet; familiarity with CMIS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site field inspections to ensure conformance to specifications and codes.
• Develop payment applications, track submittals and RFIs.
• Prepare and review construction reports and monthly estimates.
• Provide guidance to junior staff and supervise trainees.
• Maintain daily diaries, inspection reports, and photo logs.
