Job summary

MBP (McDonough Bolyard Peck) seeks a Senior Construction Inspector to lead field QA on complex infrastructure projects. You will observe work, document conditions, and communicate findings to clients and teams.

You’ll perform on-site inspections, develop payment applications, manage submittals/RFIs, and guide junior staff. The role requires strong field math, reporting, and coordination with contractors, engineers, and project managers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with construction/engineering experience.
• OSHA 10/30 certs must be obtained within 3 months of hire.
• Proficiency with basic math for field measurements and data.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site field compliance inspections and monitor conformance to specs and codes.
• Develop payment applications and track submittals and RFIs.
• Advise contractors on discrepancies and propose corrective actions.
• Document activities in diaries, reports, and photo logs with calculations.
• Prepare punchlists, oversee final inspections, and support project completion.
• Monitor budgets/schedules and assist in contractor evaluations.
