Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson seeks a Senior Construction Inspector to apply inspection procedures during construction for structural quality, safety and conformance to plans, specifications and codes. The position is based in Fredericksburg, VA, with an hourly pay range of $36.00–$44.00 commensurate with experience and certifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 7+ years of roadway construction inspection experience.
• Associates or bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering (preferred).
• Supervisory experience in construction management/inspection (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Review plans and methods for compliance with codes and safety.
• Perform routine tests on concrete, soils and materials.
• Measure dimensions and verify elevations of structures and grades.
• Coordinate and supervise inspection activities across project phases.
• Draft project correspondence and facilitate meetings.
• Gathers and maintains record documents; take field notes.
