Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson is a dynamic, 100% employee-owned engineering and surveying firm providing services across the United States. The Senior Construction Inspector will apply standard inspection procedures to ongoing construction activities for structural quality, safety, and conformance to plans and codes.

Compensation is $36.00-$44.00 per hour based on experience, with an ESOP and a full benefits package including health, dental, vision, paid leave, holidays, and education

Qualifications

• 7+ years of roadway construction inspection experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent (may be substituted for experience).
• Active driver’s license and ability to pass Motor Vehicle screening.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret plans and specifications for compliance with safety regulations.
• Perform routine tests on concrete, soils, and other materials.
• Measure dimensions and verify elevation of structures to ensure conformance to plans and codes.
• Coordinate and supervise project inspection activities with contractors.
• Assign, schedule, and maintain inspection staff across all project phases.
• Draft project correspondence, facilitate meetings, and resolve field issues for the client.
• Gather and maintain record documents and field notes.
• Interact with the public, government agencies, contractors, and other stakeholders.
