WSP is currently initiating a search for a Senior Construction Inspector based out of our Raleigh office. Be involved in projects with our Construction Engineering and Inspection Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges.

Your Impact

• Examine and interpret construction plans, schedules and quantities.
• Support engineers in construction inspection, surveying, and material sampling and testing.
• Provide guidance to lower level inspectors.
• Verify that work is performed safely and according to plans and specifications.
• Perform various tests and data analysis in the field.
• Adhere to company policies, including safety and conduct standards.
• Perform additional responsibilities as needed.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; Associate’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years of NCDOT roadway inspection and testing experience or equivalent; Interns may be eligible with less experience.
• Ability to obtain specific certifications within 90 days.
• Physical ability to lift equipment up to 60 lbs and perform manual tasks.
• Strong record-keeping, reading, and communication skills.
• Basic computer skills and ability to work independently.
• Commitment to safety and adherence to workplace policies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in a related discipline.
• Professional licensure or certification.
