Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in construction inspection or a Civil Engineering degree with relevant experience.
  • Experience in road and bridge construction inspection, material sampling/testing, and reporting.

Duties, Responsibilities & Other

  • Perform construction inspection and reporting of concrete, earthwork, and asphalt pavement.
  • Supervise subordinate construction inspectors and assist project management as required.
  • Review reports, testing procedures, and documentation prepared by subordinate inspectors to ensure compliance with client policies and procedures.
  • Assist the Project Administrator as needed.
  • A valid driver's license is required. Day and/or night work may be necessary to support the contractor's schedule.
  • Require 4+ years of experience in construction inspection, including bridge and/or roadway inspection, or a Civil Engineering degree with 4 years of relevant experience and the ability to earn additional qualifications within a year.
  • Experience in road and bridge construction inspection, material sampling/testing, and reporting.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 4 - 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Pre-employment drug screening is required. Background and motor vehicle checks may be conducted based on the position.

Performance Expectations

  • Evaluate staff performance and provide input to project management.
  • Identify training needs and arrange staff training.
  • Supervise onsite team.
  • Accurately record and report daily forms as per project requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, staff, and supervisors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Proactively resolve issues at the lowest level.
  • Adhere to project scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Review all work for accuracy and completeness before submission.
  • Submit accurate timesheets, mileage, and expense reports timely.
  • Conduct daily site safety reviews and address issues promptly.
  • Follow OSHA safety standards and company policies consistently.
  • Maintain all required certifications and participate in ongoing training.
  • Perform all duties per industry standards and client requirements.
