Step into Your New Role

As a Construction Inspector-Senior, you will perform general construction inspection tasks to verify compliance with standards, codes, and ordinances. Projects include bridges, roadways, and environmental components. This position is available in Northern Virginia, Richmond, Lynchburg, Christiansburg, and Hampton Roads areas of VA.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect and monitor construction sites to verify adherence to standards, codes, and specifications.
• Prepare and submit daily reports documenting inspections and project information.
• Adhere to project contract documentation and testing of materials.
• Assist in preparing contract change orders, estimates, and reports.
• Verify lines and grades of project improvements.
• Coordinate and perform field testing of materials as required.
• Implement quantity calculations for pay estimates.
• Perform analytical calculations for earthwork, grading, and staking.
• Communicate with contractors, owners, and stakeholders.
• Act as on-site Administrator in their absence.
• May direct staff and mentor others.
• Participate in Kleinfelder’s Safety Programs.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years in construction inspection or related field.
• Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and equipment.
• Fluent in English.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Valid State Driver's License and ability to pass background checks.
• Construction materials testing certifications.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate degree or equivalent coursework.
