Job summary

HNTB is seeking an inspector to provide daily construction oversight across multiple activities, ensuring compliance with plans, specs, and contract provisions. You will maintain logs, review discrepancies with Field Engineer, and perform non-routine assignments on medium to large projects.

Required is a High School Diploma or GED with 6 years of construction experience and valid jurisdictional certificates. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with construction experience.
• Experience performing inspections and documenting work.
• State or jurisdiction certificates as required.

Responsibilities

• Inspects, observes, documents, and verifies work in progress by the construction contractor to ensure compliance with project schedule, contract documents, and plans.
• Utilizes engineering inspection practices to perform calculations and measurements.
• Maintains Inspector's daily report of assigned work activities.
• Performs on-site material testing and produces as-constructed sketches.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
