Job summary

HNTB is seeking a field inspector to provide daily inspection across multiple disciplines on construction projects, ensuring compliance with plans, specs and contract provisions. You will maintain daily logs and review discrepancies with the Field Engineer on smaller, standard projects.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least 3 years of construction experience, plus jurisdictional certificates as required. Be part of an employee-owned team across WV locations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with 3 years' construction-related experience.
• All required jurisdictional certificates and state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Observes, documents, and verifies work to ensure compliance with contract documents and plans.
• Performs standard mathematical calculations and measurements of completed work.
• Maintains daily inspector reports, noting labor, equipment, and material quantities.
• Performs on-site material testing and creates as-constructed sketches as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
