Job summary

Zero Impact Energy, Costa Mesa, CA, seeks a Senior Accountant to lead the Construction Arm’s financial accounting, GAAP compliance, and reporting. You will oversee the close process, budgeting, forecasting, and collaborate with Project Managers to ensure accurate cost tracking and project margins.

This role emphasizes lien administration, vendor relations, and cross-department collaboration to optimize financial workflows.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Business with an emphasis in accounting required or preferred.
• 3 years of “big 4” accounting firm experience is preferred.
• Current CPA license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end close and GAAP-compliant financial reporting for the Construction Arm.
• Coordinate with Project Managers to obtain invoices, approvals, and project documentation; investigate discrepancies.
• Maintain centralized lien logs and coordinate lien releases and notices as needed.
• Support vendor onboarding, credit applications, W-9 collection, and vendor record maintenance.
