Job summary

Zero Impact Energy seeks a Senior Accountant to oversee the Construction Arm's financial accounting, ensure GAAP compliance, and provide strategic guidance to senior management.

You will manage month-end close, project cost tracking, lien administration, and coordination with project managers and operations to secure accurate invoicing and reporting.

The role includes vendor relations, cross‑department collaboration, and leading ad hoc financial analysis projects to drive process improvements.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Business with emphasis in accounting.
• 3 years of “big 4” accounting firm experience is preferred.
• Experience navigating through complex technical accounting matters.
• Current CPA license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Month-end close and financial reporting for the Construction Arm with GAAP compliance.
• Coordinate with Project Managers and Operations for invoices, costs, and variances; investigate discrepancies and budgets.
• Manage accounts payable coordination, vendor relations and documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes and ensure accounting requirements are integrated into workflows.
• Lead ad hoc accounting, financial analysis, and reporting projects as assigned by manager and CEO.
