Job summary

Everest is seeking an AVP Underwriter to join the Construction Excess Casualty team in Atlanta, GA or New York, NY. You will bring strong underwriting experience in construction casualty and leverage established market relationships to deliver exemplary service and results.

Responsibilities include underwriting and pricing Lead Umbrella and Excess Casualty for US construction risks, cultivating brokers and clients, and coordinating with Claims, Actuarial, Risk Engineering, and Sales to meet

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3-5 years of casualty underwriting experience, construction preferred.
• Experience with wrap-up programs, project-specific placements, or contractor programs.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and price Lead Umbrella and Excess Casualty for US construction risks.
• Cultivate brokers, clients and industry stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Claims, Actuarial, Risk Engineering, Regional Leadership and Sales to meet service and underwriting goals.
• Maintain underwriting discipline and portfolio profitability.
• Conduct thorough risk assessments and ensure proper file documentation.
• Grow the construction excess portfolio in preferred casualty construction business.
