Job summary

Everest Insurance Company in Atlanta, GA or New York, NY is seeking an AVP Underwriter to lead the Construction Excess Casualty portfolio. You will own underwriting and pricing for US construction-based risks, build broker and client relationships, and collaborate with Claims, Actuarial, Risk Engineering, and Sales teams to meet profitability goals.

You should have 3–5 years of casualty underwriting with construction experience and strong analytical and communication skills, plus a Bachelor's

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of casualty underwriting experience, construction preferred.
• Existing market relationships with construction casualty producers and agents.
• Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills.
• Able to think creatively around risks and program design.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and price Lead Umbrella and Excess Casualty for US construction-based risks across program types.
• Cultivate broker, client and stakeholder relationships.
• Collaborate with Claims, Actuarial, Risk Engineering, and Sales to meet servicing standards and underwriting goals.
• Adhere to portfolio management goals to ensure profitability and discipline.
• Conduct thorough risk assessments for construction accounts and ensure documentation.
• Grow the construction excess portfolio in preferred casualty construction business.
