Job summary

Everest Group, a global risk management leader, is seeking an AVP Underwriter in Atlanta, GA, for the Wholesale Primary/Excess Casualty team. This hybrid role requires three days in the office and two remote days.

You will develop a profitable book for General Liability and Commercial Automobile, underwrite new and renewal accounts, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree, 7+ years of wholesale casualty underwriting experience, and travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business or related field.
• Strong communication and presentation skills are essential.
• Proven ability to build and manage profitable portfolios.

Responsibilities

• Develop a profitable E&S Primary/Excess Casualty book within designated territory.
• Underwrite select new and renewal accounts per department standards.
• Adhere to underwriting guidelines and referral processes.
• Build and manage a diverse and profitable book of business.
• Cultivate relationships with wholesale brokers.
• Collaborate with Actuarial, Claims, Loss Control, and IT teams.
