Job summary

Zurich 56 Company Ltd is hiring an Executive Underwriter or AVP, Underwriting Director – Construction Casualty in Boston or New York. This hybrid role covers complex accounts in Auto, GL, and Worker’s Compensation. Candidates with construction casualty experience are ideal, but Senior Underwriters looking to expand skills are encouraged to apply. Offering a competitive salary between $100,000 and $215,000 based on role and experience, along with eligibility for performance bonuses, and a supportive work environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Underwriting or 10+ years in Claims or Support.
• Proven experience with Microsoft Office.
• Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice with relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Act as a customer advocate and improve customer experience.
• Conduct risk assessment and pricing.
• Administer underwriting rules and guidelines.

Skills

Experience in Underwriting or Market Facing area

Experience with Microsoft Office

Ability to assess risk

Strong knowledge of underwriting philosophy

Team-based working skills

Education

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice
