Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an estimator to perform quantity takeoffs, prepare OPCCs, and support bid/day activities on diverse projects in the US. You will coordinate with subs, gather pricing, and help develop baseline cost data for proposals and scheduling.

The role requires a bachelor’s in engineering or related field and about 3 years’ related experience, with travel as needed. This is an on-site position located in the Erie area and involves field support and document control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
• 3 years of related experience; travel may be required.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic to moderately complex estimating tasks including quantity take-offs and cost research.
• Uses Timberline to prepare Opinions of Probable Cost of Construction (OPCC).
• Develops schedules and cost data for project reporting and change management.
• Coordinates with subcontractors and vendors for pricing and bid input.
• Supports field teams with QA/QC and documentation; manages RFI and submittals.
