Job summary

Pacific Construction is seeking an experienced Construction Estimator (Commercial General Contractor) to lead estimating and preconstruction activities from our Stockton, CA HQ. You will develop budgets and bids for tenant improvements and ground-up projects, coordinating with leadership, business development, and project management.

The ideal candidate has 8–10 years in GC and at least 5 years in Estimating/Preconstruction, with strong Excel and project management skills.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years in general contracting, with 5+ years in Estimating/Preconstruction.
• Private commercial construction experience preferred across multiple market sectors.
• Proficiency in reading drawings/specifications and performing takeoffs.

Responsibilities

• Lead estimating, improving and enforcing processes.
• Coordinate pre-construction process with all parties.
• Develop relationships with sub-contractors.
• Manage bid invitations, RFIs, and bid packaging.
• Prepare budgets and bids for tenant improvements and ground-up projects.
