Job summary

Pacific Construction, headquartered in Stockton, CA, is seeking an Estimating Coordinator to join the estimating team. The role supports budgeting, bid preparation, and preconstruction activities on tenant improvements and ground-up projects across markets.

The ideal candidate has early-career experience in construction administration, is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable communicating with subcontractors by phone, email, and meetings. This is a full-time, on-site position in Stockton.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 1–2+ years in construction administration, project coordination or estimating support preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, Word and Project.
• Experience with Bluebeam, Building Connected, Procore or similar tools.
• Interest in learning construction terminology, drawings, and estimating processes.
• Experience with estimating, project management, or bid management software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate subcontractor and supplier bid invitations and solicit pricing.
• Track bid opportunities, deadlines, addenda, and other estimating deliverables.
• Set up and maintain bid opportunities and estimating documentation.
• Maintain bid calendars and support milestones.
• Assist with site visits and note-taking for the team.
• Research and identify new subs and suppliers to strengthen bids.
• Read plans and specs to understand project requirements and scopes.
• Assist estimators with quantity takeoffs and data gathering.
• Prepare bid comparison sheets and proposal documents.
• Coordinate meetings and assist with proposal preparation and bid submissions.
• Organize plans, specs, proposals, bid documents, and project files.
• Maintain historical cost data and estimating databases.
• Support handoff to Operations after award.
• Support process improvements in estimating department.
