• Experience as an estimator or in a related estimating role.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents.
• Familiarity with estimating software and standard office tools.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines effectively.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze blueprints, specifications, and project documents to prepare accurate cost estimates.
• Perform detailed material take-offs and quantify labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Prepare clear and competitive bid proposals, including cost breakdowns and project timelines.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and construction teams during pre-construction.
• Identify potential risks, constructability issues, and cost impacts early in the bidding process.
• Track project costs and compare actuals to estimates, adjusting projections as needed.
• Review contracts and change orders to ensure alignment with scope and pricing.
• Identify value engineering and cost-saving opportunities without sacrificing quality.
• Work with procurement and vendors to secure competitive material and subcontractor pricing.
• Support pre-construction meetings and bid reviews with internal teams and clients.
• Assist sales and business development efforts by providing timely, accurate estimates.
• Maintain historical cost data to improve future estimates.
