Job summary

Leoforce in Baton Rouge, LA, seeks a Senior Construction Estimator to lead costings for healthcare, higher education, schools, commercial, federal/state/government, and disaster projects. You will deliver detailed estimates, review bids, and drive competitive proposals.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of estimating experience, a Construction Management or Civil Engineering degree, and proficiency with OST.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in construction-related field.
Proven experience in construction estimating.
Proficiency with estimating software such as OST.
Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment.
Excellent numerical skills and ability to produce detailed estimates.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills with clients and stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify cost overruns.

Responsibilities

Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects (materials, labor, equipment, time).
Review and evaluate cost estimates for accuracy and completeness.
Utilize OST or similar software for estimating tasks.
Prepare and submit competitive project bids.
Analyze blueprints and specifications for cost drivers.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, clients, and contractors on estimates.
Conduct risk analysis and propose cost-effective mitigations.
Stay updated on industry trends and estimating techniques.
Provide planning guidance on scheduling and cost control.
Report project status and risks to management.
