Job summary

Leoforce is seeking a Senior Construction Estimator with 5+ years of experience to join our team in the United States. The role involves analyzing plans, preparing time, cost, and labor estimates, and coordinating with clients and foremen to resolve issues.

You will conduct risk analyses, review requirements, and apply new construction technologies to keep estimates accurate and timely. A strong background in hospital, education, government, and civil projects is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Construction Estimator.
• Experience in Hospital, Higher Education, School, Commercial, Federal, State, Government, Retail, Medical, and Civil construction.
• Understanding of principles and methods of cost estimation in construction.
• Knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment.
• Strong analytical and detail-oriented skills with high accuracy in calculations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proficiency in using computer software for cost estimation.
• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyzing blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost and labor estimates for projects.
• Consulting with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments, and construction foremen to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
• Conducting special studies to develop standard hour and related cost data or cost reductions.
• Preparing estimates used by management for planning, organizing, and scheduling work.
• Preparing cost and expenditure statements and other necessary documentation for the duration of the project.
• Reviewing material and labor requirements to decide whether to produce or purchase components.
• Conducting risk analysis for the project and providing mitigation strategies.
• Keeping track of latest construction technologies and applying them in estimation processes.
• Working closely with project managers and team members to ensure accurate and timely completion of all estimates.
