Job description

Established leader in Manhattan's residential construction market, is actively seeking a Senior Construction Estimator.

Responsibilities:

1. Create cost estimates, studies, analyses, and evaluations, at all levels of project development independently and as a part of a team.
2. Perform quantity take-off in a manner and level of detail consistent with the project goals.
3. Review construction drawings, specifications, and other technical documentation to provide timely feedback and help prepare a schedule, cost, materials, and labor estimates for restoration and modification projects. Review for constructability as well.
4. Input estimate data into appropriate templates or software.
5. Assure that a quality product is presented to the client through adherence to the company’s QA/QC procedures.
6. Communicate effectively through clear and concise means appropriate to the project’s goals (verbal, written, and graphics).
7. Perform market studies.
8. Investigate and incorporate project constraints into cost analysis.
9. Review contractor and subcontractor change order estimates.
10. Conduct or attend cost reconciliation meetings.

Desired Experience:

1. A minimum of 10 years related to construction cost estimating, preferably on residential projects.
2. Possess excellent written & verbal communication skills and effectively communicate with the client, stakeholders, design, and construction teams alike.
3. Experience operating software programs.
4. Advance knowledge utilizing Microsoft Office.
5. Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture preferred.
