Perimeter Security Partners, LP in Brentwood, TN seeks an experienced Senior Construction Estimator to lead preconstruction efforts and develop cost estimates for multi-million dollar projects.

The role involves coordinating with management, compiling proposals, and maintaining data templates to improve efficiency. Requires extensive estimating experience, RFIs, federal contracting exposure, and strong MS Office skills. On-site in the United States.

Qualificações

• Minimum of 5 years as a construction estimator.
• Minimum of 10 years combined experience as a construction estimator, construction project manager, construction project engineer, or similar role.
• Experience developing complete estimates for projects totaling at least $1 million.
• Experience developing and submitting pre-bid RFIs.
• Experience developing detailed estimates for self-performing construction crews.
• Federal government contracting and formal submittal process highly desired.
• Demonstrated ability to develop competitive, accurate estimates.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks across projects and internal customers.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office including Excel.

Responsabilidades

• Develop complete construction estimates by soliciting vendor and subcontractor quotes.
• Maintain cost databases for common construction materials.
• Coordinate with Preconstruction Manager, Director of Business Development, and executives to select key materials for estimates.
• Perform material takeoffs and site measurement collection during pre-bid visits.
• Collaborate with construction management to develop durations for each work feature.
• Compile all costs into an integrated workbook (materials, subs, labor, equipment).
• Liaise with engineering to layout features and takeoffs; coordinate pricing strategy.
• Maintain current database of commonly used product data for preconstruction submittals.

Description

PerimeterSecurityPartners(“PSP”)islookingforanexperienced,knowledgeableSeniorConstructionEstimatortoleadbideffortsandpreconstructionactivitiesforconstructionanddesign-buildprojects.TheSeniorConstructionEstimatorisresponsibleforthedevelopmentofcostestimates,supportingdocumentsforproposals,andprojectturnoverpackagesfortheconstructionProjectManagementteam.Thispositionwillorganizeinitialadministrativesubmittaldevelopmentforallprojectsthroughthemaintenanceofcurrenttemplatesandcollectingprojectspecificdata.ThisrolereportsdirectlytothePreconstructionManagerandwillcollaboratewiththemtodevelopprocedures,tools,andtemplatestoimprovetheefficiencyandaccuracyoftheestimatingteam.

Duties

• Developcompleteconstructionestimatesby:
• Solicitingvendorandsubcontractorquotes,
• Maintainingacostdatabaseforallcommonconstructionmaterials,
• CoordinatewiththePreconstructionManager,DirectorofBusinessDevelopment,and/orExecutivestoselectkeymaterialstobeusedinestimates,
• Performingallmaterialtakeoffs,
• Attendingpre-bidsitevisitstocollectinformationandmeasurements,
• Collaboratingwithconstructionmanagementpersonneltodevelopdurationsforeachfeatureofwork,
• Compileallestimatedmaterial,subcontractor,equipment,andlaborcostsintoanintegratedworkbook,
• Liaisewithengineeringtolayoutkeyfeaturesofworkanddeveloptakeoffs,and
• CoordinatewiththeDirectorofBusinessDevelopmentonpricingstrategy.
• Maintainacurrentdatabaseofcommonlyusedproductdatatofacilitatepreconstructionsubmittaldevelopment.
• Completeprojecthandoffchecklistsfollowingprojectawardsandleadprojectturnovermeetingsbetweenthepreconstructionandconstructionmanagementteams.
• Developandmaintainpricingtemplates,estimatedevelopmentprocesses,documentstorageprocedures,andothertoolstoimprovetheefficiencyandaccuracyoftheestimatingteam.
• Developandmaintaintemplatesforcommonadministrativepreconstructionsubmittals,includingbutnotlimitedtosafetyplans,qualitycontrolplans,wastemanagementplans,liftplans,designqualitycontrolplans,andactivityhazardanalyses.
• Developdraftprojectbudgetsandadraftscheduleofvaluesforawardedprojectsbasedonthefinalestimate.CoordinatewithconstructionProjectManagementtoensuretheformatsupportsclientrequirements.
• Whererequiredbycompressedexecutiontimelines,supportProjectManagementbycoordinatinginitialpreconstructionactivitiesincludingtopographicsurveys,geotechnicaldrillingforsoilsamples,temporaryfacilities,temporaryutilities,andotherpreconstructionsiteactivities.
• AssistConstructionProjectManagerswiththedevelopmentandreviewofchangeorderproposals.

Requirements,Skills,andQualifications

• Minimumof5yearsofexperienceasaconstructionestimatorisrequired.
• Minimumof10yearsofcombinedexperienceasaconstructionestimator,constructionprojectmanager,constructionprojectengineer,orasimilarrole.
• Experiencedevelopingcompleteconstructionestimatesforprojectsofatleast$1millionoftotalprojectcostisrequired.
• Experiencedevelopingandsubmittingpre-bidRFIsisrequired.
• Experiencewithdevelopingdetailedestimatesforself-performingconstructioncrewsisrequired.
