Job summary

The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission, Inc. seeks an experienced engineering leader to direct staff involved in quality control, contract management, and multi-million-dollar construction projects.

The role emphasizes supervision, program goals, and customer satisfaction for high-impact projects. You will supervise internal and external teams, ensure contract compliance and safety, and coordinate with regulatory agencies.

Qualifications

• Eight (8) years of engineering experience and a bachelor’s degree in engineering or other related discipline.
• Four (4) years of experience in a supervisory capacity.
• Possession of a valid Professional Engineer (PE) license and a valid driver’s license (must obtain PA license within 6 months).

Responsibilities

• Manages professional construction staff, including internal and contracted engineers, managers, and inspectors; oversees staffing and training.
• Oversees multiple construction contractors to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.
• Directs quality, safety, and efficiency of construction operations; ensures compliance with contract documents and permits.
• Leads meetings, reviews documents, and participates in consultant selection and payments.
