Job summary

DUAL North America, Inc. is seeking a Senior Casualty Claims Examiner focused on Construction Defect. You will investigate claims, analyze policy coverages, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve claims efficiently.

The role supports the Construction Defect team, handling low to moderate exposure claims for residential and commercial projects. Strong knowledge of coverages, regulations, and excellent communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred for this role.
• Professional designations (CPCU, SCLA, AIC, JD) are a plus.
• 2-7 years of construction defect claims experience preferred with consistent performance.
• Must be licensed or able to become licensed in all required states.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of industry trends and legal developments affecting claims handling.
• Ability to manage multiple claims and competing priorities.
• Adapt to evolving regulatory and legal environments.
• Complete assigned tasks correctly, on time and quickly learn.

Responsibilities

• Initiate timely contact with all relevant parties upon claim assignment.
• Handle low to moderate exposure construction defect claims involving residential and commercial projects.
• Analyze insurance policies to determine applicable coverage.
• Draft and issue coverage position letters.
• Negotiate settlements.
• Ensure all claim activities comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Retain and coordinate with defense counsel and experts while managing litigation plans and budgets.
• Maintain timely, accurate, and complete documentation of all claim activities and decisions.
• Collaborate with underwriting and internal teams to share insights and coordinate claim strategies.
• Provide feedback to business partners to support continuous improvement in claims handling.
