Job summary

DUAL North America, Inc. is seeking a Senior Casualty Claims Examiner in Construction Defect to manage and resolve claims with accuracy and efficiency while conforming to state regulations. The role supports the Construction Defect Claims team and independently handles low to moderate exposure residential and commercial projects.

The candidate will analyze policies, draft coverage letters, negotiate settlements, and coordinate with defense counsel. Travel is 0-10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2-7 years of construction defect claims experience is preferred.
• Must be licensed or able to become licensed in required states.

Responsibilities

• Initiate timely contact with all relevant parties upon claim assignment.
• Handle low to moderate exposure construction defect claims involving residential and commercial projects.
• Analyze insurance policies to determine applicable coverage.
• Draft and issue coverage position letters.
• Negotiate settlements.
• Ensure all claim activities comply with DOI regulations and internal policies.
• Retain and coordinate with defense counsel and experts while managing litigation plans and budgets.
• Maintain timely, accurate, and complete documentation of all claim activities and decisions.
• Collaborate with underwriting and internal teams to share insights and coordinate claim strategies.
