Job summary

Resourcing Edge in Reno, NV seeks a hands-on Controller to lead accounting and financial reporting for its construction business and related entities. You’ll work directly with the President, connect financial results to project performance, and guide decisions about cash flow, taxes, equipment, and business risk.

This role suits an accounting leader who understands construction operations, owns the numbers, and can explain what they mean to executives.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience and leadership in a construction environment.
• Experience with job costing, WIP, percentage-of-completion reporting, billings, and change orders.
• Strong knowledge of accrual accounting and GAAP principles.
• Ability to prepare cash flow and tax projections and explain recommendations to executives.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly and annual close, prepare financial statements, manage accruals and reconciliations, and maintain controls.
• Prepare and analyze WIP and percentage-of-completion reporting; connect job costs, equipment costs, and billings.
• Coordinate with CPAs, lenders, bonding providers, and insurers.
• Oversee payroll, payables, receivables, fixed assets and related-entity reporting while remaining hands-on.
