Job summary

Confidential Post in Reno, NV seeks a hands-on Controller to lead accounting and financial reporting for its construction projects and related entities. You will partner with the President, connect project performance to financial results, and influence cash flow, taxes, equipment decisions, and risk management.

The role demands deep construction accounting expertise, ownership of month-end close, accurate WIP, and clear communication of numbers to executives, lenders, and insurers.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of progressive accounting experience, or 7+ years with a degree.
• Direct construction accounting experience including job costing, WIP, and percentage-of-completion reporting.
• Owns financial statements, accruals, reconciliations, and close processes.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and ability to explain numbers to executives.
• Experience coordinating with CPAs, lenders, and insurers.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly and annual close; prepare financial statements.
• Manage WIP and percentage-of-completion reporting.
• Provide cash flow projections and tax estimates.
• Coordinate with CPA, lenders, bonding, and insurers.
