Job summary

Turner Construction Company seeks an experienced Claims Manager to lead complex construction-related claims across the Midwest- Western Region. You will manage liability, builders' risk, and property damage claims, directing litigation and settlement strategy with carriers, counsel, and project teams.

The role requires strong judgment, strategic thinking, and the ability to influence outcomes with insurers and counsel.

Qualifications

• Years of construction claims experience across carriers, brokers, TPAs, owners, or large contractors.
• Experience managing litigated, high-severity construction claims.
• Strong background in litigation oversight, defense counsel management, and claim strategy development.
• Proven negotiation and coverage evaluation skills.
• Ability to advise and partner with project executives, Safety leaders, and senior client stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of complex construction-related claims, including construction general liability, builders' risk, and property damage.
• Direct and oversee litigation strategy from inception through resolution, including case assessment, counsel selection, discovery coordination, and trial prep.
• Coordinate with Turner and insurers on reserving, coverage positions, and settlement posture.
• Act as claims resource to project teams, safety professionals, and leadership.
