Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking an experienced Claims Manager to lead complex construction-related claims across the Midwest and Western Region. You will manage liability, builders' risk, and property damage portfolios, influence carriers and counsel, and align with project leadership and Safety teams.

In this hands-on role you will direct litigation strategy from inception through resolution, perform early case assessments, oversee defense counsel, and develop defensible, outcome-driven

Qualifications

• Experience managing complex construction-related claims.
• Experience overseeing litigation and defense counsel.
• Knowledge of builders' risk, construction defect and multi-layer insurance.
• Ability to advise project executives and safety leaders.
• Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
• JD or legal experience welcomed but not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of complex construction-related claims, including liability, builders' risk, and property damage.
• Direct litigation strategy from inception to resolution and coordinate defense counsel.
• Evaluate liability, damages, coverage, and contractual risk transfer.
• Oversee high-severity claims through litigation, mediation, or settlement.
• Coordinate with Turner project teams, Safety, and insurers.
