Job summary

Abbott Construction LLC. in Seattle is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive lead generation and secure construction projects valued at $25M+.

You will target design-build and GCCM opportunities and work closely with Project Executives to convert relationships into wins. The role involves traveling as needed, representing the company publicly in BD activities, and coordinating with pre-construction and senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, and/or construction or related field or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of list of primary customer targets.
• Develop criteria to qualify leads and report on potential project opportunities.
• Work with Project Executives to leverage relationships into new opportunities.
• Assist in maintaining relationships with architects, owners, engineers and others outside the company.
• Represent Abbott Construction in lead generation and business development activities.
• Track funding and procurement timelines for public laws, bonds, and levies.
• Develop initial relationships and bring in project team to build win strategies.
• Conduct cold calls and set up initial conversations with potential clients.
• Network with architects and project developers to secure opportunities.
• Identify and procure profitable projects through BD activities.
• Oversee sales activities and pre-qualify leads.
• Coach/mentor internal team in BD efforts.
• Participate in RFQ/RFP process as part of Work Acquisition team.
• Solicit referrals from inside and outside the company.
• Assist in BD budget development and alignment.
• Ensure PR aligns with marketing objectives.
