Current is seeking an auditor/assurance professional to join our construction-focused practice in Syracuse, NY. You will lead and execute audit procedures, evaluate internal controls, and guide staff on engagement deliverables.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA a plus)
• 2–5 years of audit experience
• Construction accounting preferred
• CPA is a plus but not required
• Strong communication and team collaboration skills

Aufgaben

• Execute and oversee day-to-day audit, review, and assurance engagements for construction/contractor clients
• Perform planning, risk assessment, internal control evaluation, substantive testing
• Prepare and analyze financial statements and related disclosures
• Review balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances
• Analyze project accounting, job costing, WIP, and revenue recognition
• Provide guidance to staff accountants and communicate progress to leadership
• Identify process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency in reporting
