Bowers Accountants & Advisors powered by CURRENT seeks a seasoned audit professional to oversee and perform key audit and assurance engagements across industries in the Syracuse area. You will evaluate internal controls, prepare deliverables, and serve as a primary contact for clients.

We value strong communication, analytical thinking, and the ability to manage multiple engagements with tight deadlines. CPA Preferred, 3–5 years public accounting experience, and proficiency with MS Office are

Qualifications

• 3–5 years' experience in public accounting.
• B.S. in Accounting; CPA preferred.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint).
• Experience with assurance applications and research tools.
• Experience with a paperless workpaper system is beneficial.
• Strong multitasking and analytical abilities.

Responsabilités

• Execute and oversee day-to-day audit and assurance engagements for clients across various industries.
• Perform engagement planning, risk assessment, internal control evaluation, substantive testing, and other audit procedures.
• Identify, research, and communicate accounting, auditing, internal control, and financial reporting matters to clients and engagement leadership.
• Prepare financial statements, related disclosures, and engagement deliverables in accordance with applicable professional standards.
• Supervise, review, and provide guidance to staff accountants and interns, including timely feedback and professional development.
