Job summary

RSM US LLP is seeking an experienced Audit professional in New York to lead engagement teams, manage risk, and deliver high-quality client service. The role requires a CPA or progress toward licensure, deep GAAP knowledge, and proven ability to guide staff and coordinate complex audits.

Responsibilities include supervising engagement teams, communicating with clients, and ensuring timely delivery of financial statements and disclosures. Travel up to 25% and on-site client work are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• Active CPA certification or progress toward licensure preferred
• 4+ years of assurance experience in public accounting
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP/GAAS and auditing standards
• Experience leading portions of audit engagements and reviewing work
• Ability to develop staff and provide performance feedback
• Proven client communication and issue-resolution skills
• Effective project management across multiple engagements
• Willingness to travel as required
• Ability to work onsite at client locations and in the firm office

Responsibilities

• Provide timely, high quality client service coordinating auditing of financial statements and disclosures
• Assess risk and design audit procedures for engagement teams
• Support and utilize RSM's Audit Methodology
• Lead engagement teams and prepare end-of-engagement evaluations
• Monitor staff performance and provide coaching notes
• Supervise seniors and supervisors on engagements and ensure adherence to schedules
• Maintain client relationships and report developments affecting current year engagements
• Identify opportunities for service opportunities with clients
• Support staff development through training and mentoring
• Keep abreast of GAAP developments and firm standards
• Travel approximately 25% as needed
